Another Wow journal! These are so beautiful - my favourite is the sketches of mushrooms. How wonderful to have books like these to look back on.
Thank you for sharing your journal, Kate.

I *will* get confident at drawing, anytime soon ;-)

lichen... buds... acorn...love that first sketch! Agree with Sam about the mushrooms too! Wonderful journal!
I just got a book on sketching trees from my mother-in-law this weekend. Looking forward to exploring it... and the trees out back.
Thanks for the inspiration Kate and Lori!

Great post. Kate's inspired me for years. I clicked on her link and had no idea how much info is out there. All rather staggering and dangerous as I could spend toooo much time in front of the box :)

What joy it must bring to be able to draw so fantastically and learn the subtle beauty of all the creatures and scenery you bring to life on the page. Myself and others in our homeschooling group have been inspired by these beautiful drawings. In my nature journal, I originally drew one item per page, and at the top of the page would write what it is, where it was, and the date. Since seeing these pages, I've found the freedom to write what is personal to me and in cursive around the object I draw if I like and my nature journal has come to life because of it. My drawings aren't even close to the level of drawing on these pages, but they make me happy and are a treasure I hope to someday pass on to my kids :)
